AMTRAVEL at the Doha Tourism Fair: Opening New Horizons

This month, AMTRAVEL made a significant move in its international outreach by participating in the global tourism exhibition Qatar Travel Mart 2025 (QTM 2025), held from November 24–26 at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC) in Qatar.

QTM 2025 — one of the region’s largest and most influential tourism-industry platforms — attracted hundreds of exhibitors, travel agencies, destination-management companies, tourism boards, and other stakeholders from around the world.

Why Participation Matters for AMTRAVEL

Access to a global network: The fair brought together travel professionals from many countries — hoteliers, tour operators, DMCs, travel-tech firms, and more. For AMTRAVEL, this represented a rare chance to build relationships, negotiate partnerships, and increase visibility beyond local markets.

Positioning Armenia on the global map: 2025 marked a milestone for Armenian tourism firms: for the first time, the Tourism Committee of Armenia participated in QTM — together with Armenian travel agencies — to present Armenia’s rich cultural, historical and nature-based tourism offerings.
Since AMTRAVEL operates in Armenia and caters to outbound/inbound clients, its presence at QTM aligns with this broader national push.

Targeting new source markets: Given that QTM draws many buyers and travelers from the Gulf region and beyond, AMTRAVEL gains a strategic opportunity to attract tourists from new geographies — especially those interested in culture, heritage, adventure or nature travel to Armenia.

Staying ahead of industry trends: QTM 2025 placed emphasis on sectors such as sustainable tourism, cultural & adventure tourism, health & wellness travel, and travel technology.

By attending, AMTRAVEL could gain insights into evolving global demand and adapt its offerings accordingly.

What AMTRAVEL Showcased at the Exhibition

At the fair, AMTRAVEL — along with other Armenian agencies under the national pavilion — highlighted several strengths of Armenia as a tourist destination:

Cultural & Historical Heritage — Armenia’s rich history, ancient monuments, historic sites, and unique cultural experiences.
Travel And Tour World

Nature, Adventure & Scenic Beauty — Mountains, landscapes, nature reserves, and eco-tourism potential, aimed at travelers seeking adventure or a “getaway from city life.”

Hospitality & Local Experience — Emphasis on warm hospitality, local culture, and experiences that combine authenticity with comfort — a contrast to generic mass tourism.

Flexible Travel Offerings — Tailored tours, combinations of cultural + adventure + relaxation itineraries; attractive for diverse traveler profiles, especially from Gulf and Middle East markets.

For AMTRAVEL, these focus areas offer a platform to present ready-made packages, custom tours, and unique value proposals to international partners and prospective clients.

Strategic Impacts & Next Steps

Participation in QTM 2025 could yield several medium- to long-term benefits for AMTRAVEL:

New partnerships and collaborations: By networking with global tour operators, travel agencies, and destination-management companies, AMTRAVEL can open channels for co-operation, joint packages, and referrals.

Increased tourist inflow from new markets: Especially from Gulf countries and other regions represented at the fair — potentially leading to an uptick in inbound tourism to Armenia, which may benefit AMTRAVEL as a local operator or facilitator.

Diversification of offerings: Leveraging insights from global tourism trends (e.g., sustainable tourism, wellness travel, adventure tourism) to develop new products tailored to modern travelers.

Brand positioning and credibility: Being present at an international fair enhances the company’s reputation, signaling professionalism, seriousness, and readiness for international engagement.

As next steps, it would be useful for AMTRAVEL to:

Follow up with contacts and leads made at QTM — from agents, tour operators, and buyers.

Develop and promote special offers/packages targeting visitors from the Gulf, Middle East, and other participating regions.

Use promotional materials (photos, video, testimonials) from the exhibition in marketing channels — website, social media, brochures — to highlight global outreach and partnerships.

Monitor tourism trends shared at QTM (sustainability, wellness travel, adventure tourism) and adapt services accordingly.

By participating in QTM 2025 in Doha, AMTRAVEL has taken a significant step toward expanding its international footprint. The fair provided a major platform to showcase Armenia’s tourism potential — cultural heritage, natural beauty, and unique experiences — and to connect with global industry players. With strategic follow-up and smart marketing, this participation could open valuable pathways for growth, collaboration, and increased tourist traffic.
