Armenia is a country with unique traditions, which people have kept for a long time. Currently, these traditions are intertwined with new ones and from this; the trip to Armenia becomes even more exciting. With our excursion tour, you will discover the most ancient, but at the same time modern country.

Your Armenian adventure begins with a warm welcome at Zvartnots International Airport, setting the stage for a deep dive into the heart of Yerevan. The city tour showcases the vibrant city center, the Republic Square, and a walking tour along the Cascade, enriching your evening with a visit to the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, the Opera House, and the Tsitsernakaberd memorial, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

The next day starts with a visit to the National Picture Gallery of Armenia, followed by a journey to Echmiadzin, a cornerstone of Christianity dating back to the 4th century. Here, you explore the origins of Armenian Christianity and enjoy lunch at the Art Center. The day continues with a visit to the 7th-century Zvartnots Temple, a testament to Armenia's rich religious heritage, before returning to Yerevan for the night. An optional tour to the “Ararat” Brandy Factory offers a taste of Armenia's renowned brandy.

Day three leads you to Matenadaran, a repository of ancient manuscripts, then to Garni, the only pagan temple in Armenia. Lunch is followed by a visit to Geghard Monastery, carved entirely from rock and home to the Holy Spear, and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The day's journey concludes with an overnight stay at the Best Western Aghveran hotel.

Your journey continues to Tsaghkadzor, known for its stunning winter landscapes and the Kecharis Monastery. The Lake Sevan visit reveals the "Pearl of Armenia," elevated at about 1900 meters above sea level, where you explore Sevanavank. The trip to Dilijan, a nature-rich region, includes a visit to Haghartsin Monastery and an encounter with local artisans in Old Dilijan, ending back in Aghveran for dinner and overnight.

The final day brings you back to Yerevan to explore the Sergei Parajanov Museum, celebrating the unique artistic vision of one of Armenia's iconic filmmakers. After lunch, you are transferred to Zvartnots International Airport, marking the end of your immersive Armenian journey, leaving you enriched with cultural, historical, and spiritual insights.

Itineraries

Day 1

Meeting at “Zvartnots” International Airport

Accommodation at the hotel. Yerevan City Tour: City center, the Republic square, walking tour along the Cascade where you will visit the center of Cafesjian Arts, the Opera House, Tsitsernakaberd. Dinner. Overnight

Day 2

Yerevan – National Picture Gallery – Echmiadzin – Zvartnots – Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the National Picture Gallery of Armenia. Trip to Echmiadzin which is one of the oldest monuments of Christianity. It was built in the 4th century as the Christianity was adopted as a state religion. According to a legend, the church was built on the spot Gregory the Illuminator saw in his dream. From this derives the name “Echmiadzin”. Echmiadzin – the main seat of the Catholicos of All Armenians. Visit to the Art Center in Echmiadzin and lunch. Afterwards, you will visit Zvratnots – a marvelous temple of the 7th century. Return back to Yerevan. Overnight.

Optional: Trip to the “Ararat” Brandy factory where you will have a possibility to taste our Armenian brandy – 11 USD per person

Day 3

Yerevan – Matenadaran – Geghard – Garni – Aghveran

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Matenadaran – an ancient depository of about 18 000 manuscripts. Afterwards, visit to Garni – the only pagan temple in Armenia. Lunch. Another interesting trip will be followed to Geghard – a monastery totally carved out of a large stone. The name of Geghard is connected with the Holy Spear, which preserved the blood of Jesus Christ – the arrowhead of this spear was brought to Armenia by Apostle Thaddeus in the 1st century and today is kept in Holy Echmiadzin. The monastery is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites along with the canyon of the Upper Valley of the River Azat. The amazing acoustics of the Monastery is mystery up to now – in some places, the sound can be heard up to 40 seconds. Overnight at Best Western Aghveran hotel

Day 4

Aghveran – Tsahkadzor – Sevanavank – Dilijan – Haghartsin – Aghveran

Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Tsahkadzor – our marvelous winter resort. Here Kecharis Monastery (XI — XIII c.) is situated. Afterwards, you will continue your way to the “Pearl of Armenia” – the Lake Sevan. The latter is situated at about 1900 m. above the sea level. Visit to Sevanavank. Lunch near the shore of the Lake. Tour to Dilijan one of the richest in nature region. Haghartsin Monastery of X – XIII centuries is situated in the valley of Aghstev River with a beautiful temple of the Holy Virgin. The monastery complex also includes several beautiful khachkars and tomb Bagratuni – a noble family in Armenia, Georgia and Russia. Dilijan is famous for its skilled craftsmen of wood carving – the material, which the Lord gave them generously. Meeting with a ceramist and a master of wood carving in the ethnographic center of the Old Dilijan. Return back to Aghveran. Dinner and overnight at the Best western Aghveran hotel

Day 5

Aghveran – Museum after Parajanov – transfer to “Zvartnots” International Airport

Breakfast at the hotel. Return back to Yerevan. Visit to the museum of Sergei Parajanov. His masterpieces have no analogues in the world (“Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors” and “The Color of Pomegranate”). Lunch. Transfer to the airport
