Day 1
Yerevan
After having arrived at the “Zvartnots” International Airport, you will be met by the company and accompanied to Yerevan, capital of Armenia. A 2-hours city tour of Yerevan, in a comfortable bus, will form your first impressions of the capital. During the Yerevan City tour you will visit Matenadaran, which is one of the richest and fascinating depositories of ancient manuscripts and books in the world. The collection now numbers over 100,000 manuscripts, documents, and fragments and dates back to 405, when Saint Mesrop Mashtots created the Armenian alphabet. Short walking tour around the Cascade, visit to Cafesjian center of Modern Arts will complete this remarkable day. Lunch in a cozy Armenian restaurant. Tour to Yerevan Brandy Company. Free time. Day 2
Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel. Conference time. Tour to “Megeryan Carpet”. It is a factory where you will get acquainted with carpet making processes, will know the history of natural paints as well as how the carpets are restored. Lunch. Free time. Dinner in Yerevan. Overnight.
Day 3
Yerevan – Aragats – Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour to Mt Aragats. Aragats – it isn’t a mountain , it is the “cover” of Armenia as the Everest is the cover of the world. Aragats is the second mountain after the mountain Masis which has a paramount role for all the Armenians in the world. There is a legend that Mounts Masis (Ararat) and Aragats have been sisters. Once they have a debate who is the best. As a result, they cursed each other. Since then, no one can climb Mount Ararat, whereas on the top of Aragats “water” has appeared. There is a restaurant where you can taste Xash – an Armenian dish made of cow hooves. Return to Yerevan. Dinner. Overnight.
