Itineraries

Day 1

Yerevan – Aghveran

You will be met at the “Zvartnots” International Airport and led to Yerevan. Introductory tour in Yerevan – Republic Square with its singing fountains, a pleasant walk in Cascade, visit to art boutiques in the center of Yerevan.
Overnight at Best Resort “Aghveran Hotel” / www.aghveranhotel.am/ situated on a steep mountain slope. The hotel that was built recently has full services that will make your vacations comfortable. Overnight.

Day 2

Aghveran – Yerevan – Aghveran

Breakfast at the hotel. We will begin the day with a visit to Yerevan Brandy Factory, sampling the famous Armenian cognac and learning brandy making process with factory specialists. Visit one of the popular among tourists and local people fruit markets with delicious variety of fruits and vegetables. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 3

Aghveran – Echmiadzin – Yerevan - Aghveran

Breakfast at the hotel. You will visit Holly Echmiadzin – the main seat of the Catholicos of All Armenians. After Echmiadzin you will visit famous wine factory “NOY” to taste our wines. Visit to Matenadaran – Armenia’s state repository of ancient manuscripts, which holds one of the world’s richest depositories of medieval manuscripts and books which span a broad range of subjects, including literature on history, philosophy, medicine, art history and cosmography in Armenian and other languages.

Day 4

Aghveran – Geghard – Garni - Aghveran

The day will begin with a traditional Armenia breakfast you will never forget. A tour to Geghard, another incredible ancient Armenian monastery, entirely carved out of a mountain, will be followed by a visit to the magnificent “Temple of the Sun” in Garni, the only pagan temple in Armenia, where you can admire the unique mosaic baths and ruins of the Royal palace. Your first cooking class will begin with baking lavash in tonir, a traditional wood burning oven. Then you will taste your own masterpiece in a lodge surrounded with lush forests.

Day 5

Aghveran – Areni – Noravank – Yeghegnadzor – Aghveran

Breakfast at the hotel. An unforgettable trip to the famous Wine Factory “ARENI” with sampling famous Armenian wines and learning wine making secrets with factory specialists. You will continue your way to Noravank. The gorge is known for its tall, sheer, brick-red cliffs, directly across from the monastery. The monastery is best known for its two-storey S. Astvatsatsin church, which grants access to the second floor by way of narrow stones jutting out from the face of building. Noravank will be followed by a visit to the Famous Cheese factory. Here you will be introduced to cheese making history and sample various kinds of specific Armenian cheese.

Day 6

Aghveran – Sevan – Dilijan – Aghveran

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we are leaving for the Lake Sevan – the Blue Pearl of Armenia. This huge mountain lake about 2,000 meters above the sea level. On clear and sunny days, the waters, of a deep turquoise color, are like a piece of the sky that have descended to the earth among the mountains. Afterwards an impressive trip to picturesque Dilijan, nestled in the heart of the forests of the Northern Armenia. You will be captured by the breathtaking architectural monuments: Haghartsin and Goshavank monasteries, as well as khachkars / cross-stones/.

Overnight at Aghveran.

Day 7

Aghveran – Yerevan - Aghveran

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Yerevan, free time in Yerevan, Master class with the chief in the famous restaurant Ararat Hall.

Return to Aghveran. Overnight.

Day 8

Aghveran – Yerevan

Early breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Zvatrnots International Airport.
