Starting our trip by visiting to Dilijan, city nestled in the lush forests of the Dilijan National Park, offering stunning landscapes and a tranquil environment. The town is surrounded by mountains, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat. That is why it is often referred to as the "Switzerland of Armenia". Near of Dilijan National Park is located Lake Parz, which got its name due to its transparency (“parz” translates as “clear” from Armenian).
Next you will see Deer park, aroused the interest and love of both locals and tourists. It is especially attractive for children, because here you are given a chance to not only admire these graceful animals, but also feed them.
After a little stop we will drive to Ijevan, where you will visit to Makaravank monastery - one of the unique architectural monuments of medieval Armenia. All the buildings of the complex are made of reddish tuff, dark pink andesite and greenish stones. In former times Makaravank was surrounded by walls. The monastery complex includes 3 churches and a narthex. There are also 2 cemeteries, an arched gate, a water source, and the ruins of farm buildings on the territory of the monastery. Return to Yerevan.
