YEREVAN - ECHMIADZIN – HRIPSIME – GAYANE - MOTHER CATHEDRAL – FROM OUTSIDE - MUSEUM TREASURES OF ECHMIADZIN - ZVARTNOTS – YEREVAN
The tour begins with a short drive to Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church and home to some of the world’s earliest Christian monuments.
Visits include the historic churches of Saint Hripsime Church and Saint Gayane Church, both outstanding examples of early Armenian ecclesiastical architecture.
The route continues to the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin, viewed from the outside as the oldest cathedral in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
An enriching visit follows to the Treasures of Echmiadzin Museum, where sacred relics and priceless works of religious art are displayed.
The excursion concludes at the ruins of the 7th-century Zvartnots Cathedral, renowned for its unique circular design, before returning to Yerevan.

Short trip to Echmiadzin – the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church, located in the city dually known as Etchmiadzin or Vagharshapat, Armenia. It is usually considered the first cathedral built in ancient Armenia, and often regarded the oldest cathedral in the world. Along with several important early medieval churches located nearby, the cathedral was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. Excursion to the Museum "Treasures of Echmiadzin" is situated in the southeast section of the Cathedral. Unique holy relics and religious art are now housed in the museum.
Visit to Zvartnots, a medieval Armenian cathedral near Echmiadzin, which was built in the seventh century and now lying in ruins. Zvartnots famous with its circular exterior structure and uniqueness. Return to Yerevan.
