Itineraries

Day 1

ARRIVAL – YEREVAN CITY TOUR – GUM MARKET – VERNISSAGE

Meeting at Zvartnots International Airport. Transfer and check-in to the hotel. Meeting with the guide in the hotel lobby from 15:00 to 16:00. City tour including: Republic Square, Opera House, Northern Avenue, etc. Walk along the Cascade. This is an open-air park-museum with impressive sculptures, showcasing examples of modern art. By the way, this is the only park in the world where two works by the famous sculptor Fernando Botero are presented at once. Here you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the entire city and see the Holy Mount Ararat in all its glory. Next, we will visit GUM market and Vernissage. At GUM market, you can enjoy the richness of local flavors and aromas, taste Armenian delicacies, and buy your favorite products. And Vernissage will surprise you with an abundance of amazing examples of Armenian art. Handmade items by local artisans will leave no one indifferent.

Day 2

YEREVAN – ARARAT BRANDY FACTORY – GEGHARD – GARNI – SEVAN – YEREVAN

Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 Meeting with the guide. It's hard to imagine getting acquainted with Armenia without a glass of the legendary Ararat brandy. During the excursion, you will have a unique opportunity to visit the factory museum and learn about the legend of Armenian brandy. Here you can spend an unforgettable time in the tasting room, enjoying the refined taste and rich aroma of brandies. Trip to Geghard Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage Site) located in the Kotayk region. The monastic complex was built in the XII-XIII centuries. Originally, the monastery was called Ayrivank, which means "cave monastery". Next, visit the pagan temple of Garni (1st century BC). This temple is a unique monument of the Hellenistic era that has been preserved in Armenia. The Garni temple was dedicated to the ancient Armenian sun god. Trip to Lake Sevan – (the Blue Pearl of Armenia). It is the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in the world. Excursion and visit to the 9th-century Sevanavank Monastery on the peninsula. Return to Yerevan.

Day 3

YEREVAN ZEMFIRA CONCERT

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. 18:00 Transfer to Hrazdan Stadium to attend the Zemfira concert. 23:30 transfer to the hotel.

Day 4

YEREVAN – ETCHMIADZIN – ZVARTNOTS – WINE MUSEUM – VANARDI – YEREVAN

Duration 6-7 hours. Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 Meeting with the guide. Trip to Zvartnots Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage Site), known for its round exterior structure and uniqueness. Zvartnots was built in the Middle Ages between 643 and 652 AD. Etchmiadzin is the holy city of Armenia, and the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin (301-303 AD, UNESCO World Heritage Site) is considered the first cathedral built in ancient Armenia and is often considered the oldest cathedral in the world. Visit to the treasury of Etchmiadzin. The museum displays unique holy relics. One of the most famous treasures is the Holy Geghard (the Spear of Longinus) that pierced the side of Christ, relics of Noah's Ark, as well as many other valuable works of art. Transfer to the village of Sasunik, where the famous Armenia Wine winery is located. Visit to the Museum of the History of Wine of Armenia. In the museum, you will learn about the 6000-year history of winemaking in Armenia and the 8000-year history of viticulture. Trip to Saghmosavank – an Armenian Apostolic monastery on the eastern edge of the village of Saghmosavan in the Aragatsotn region, built by Prince Vache Vachutyan, which offers a breathtaking view of the picturesque Kasakh Gorge. Transfer to the village of Sasunik, where the famous Armenia Wine winery is located. Visit to the Museum of the History of Wine of Armenia. In the museum, you will learn about the 6000-year history of winemaking in Armenia and the 8000-year history of viticulture. Wine tasting at the VanArdi winery. VanArdi is the first boutique winery in Armenia, founded in 2008 by Varuzhan Muradyan. He creates exquisite boutique wines from local grape varieties, combining organic and biodynamic methods. Return to Yerevan.

Day 5

DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel. Hotel check-out. Transfer to Zvartnots Airport. Departure.
