YEREVAN - LAKE SEVAN - HAYRAVANK MONASTERY - NORATUS CROSSTONES - ORBELIAN'S (SELIM) CARAVANSERAI - JERMUK (MINERAL WATER GALLERY AND WATERFALL) - HIN ARENI WINE FACTORY – YEREVAN

Starting our day by driving to Lake Sevan, a stunning natural attraction, surrounded by mountains and offering breathtaking panoramic views. Excursion to Hayravank monastery, located in Gegharkunik region, on the shore of the Lake Sevan, not too far away from Hayravank village. It dates back to the 9th-12th centuries. The three main constructions of the monastery are the church, the chapel and a gavit.
Next drive to Armenian village of Noratus (Noraduz), where you can see the largest and most ancient cemetery of khachkars - architectural monuments carved in stone. The word ‘khach’ means ‘cross’ and ‘kar’ is the definition of ‘stone’. The main part of the artistic composition of cross stones is a cross, usually framed with numerous patterns and ornaments. In Noratus you can see more than a thousand cross stones, which are spread over a huge field of 7 hectares.
Visit to Vardenyats Pass. The monument belongs to the one-room type of medieval caravanserais in Armenia. The interior of the caravanserai is characterized by the integrity of architectural forms and monumentality, and the ornaments are strikingly beautiful.
Our next stop will be in Jermuk city – known for its natural mineral water, which has been bottled and sold both domestically and internationally. The city is a popular tourist destination due to its picturesque location in the mountains and its health spas, which offer treatments utilizing the mineral water. Additionally, Jermuk is surrounded by natural attractions such as waterfalls, hot springs, forests, and hiking trails, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Visit Jermuk waterfall. Continue our trip to Hin Arnei wine factory, excursion and degustation of wine. Return to Yerevan.
