This journey through Moldova, Georgia, and Armenia takes you deep into some of the world’s oldest and most unique wine regions. More than just a tasting tour, it’s an exploration of culture, tradition, and connection to the land. In each country, wine is more than a drink — it’s part of the national identity, woven into family life, celebrations, and history.

1. Moldova

Moldova’s gentle rolling hills are home to a quiet but deeply rooted wine culture. Villages still follow seasonal winemaking customs passed down through generations. You’ll experience the slow pace of rural life, where wine is made not just to sell, but to share — especially during warm gatherings with homemade food and local music.

2. GEORGIA

In Georgia, wine is a living tradition going back many years. It’s present at every table, every toast, every celebration. The country’s ancient clay vessel method (qvevri) is still used today, reflecting a deep respect for the past.

3. ARMENIA

Armenia’s wine culture is shaped by its rugged landscape and ancient history. Here, winemaking reflects the spirit of resilience and pride in local heritage. The high-altitude vineyards and volcanic soils give Armenian wines a distinct character. Wine is part of family traditions and local festivals, connecting people to the land and each other in meaningful ways.

Day 1: Arrival in Chisinau – City Tour – Petru Costin Gallery

Arrive at Chisinau International Airport. Meet your guide and proceed to the city center for your first impressions of Moldova’s charming capital. Take time for currency exchange and orientation. Start your exploration with a city tour of Chisinau, where you’ll visit key landmarks such as the monument of Stefan the Great, Nativity Cathedral, the Bell Tower, Triumph Arch, Parliament, and the Central Square. Enjoy a traditional Moldovan lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue with a visit to the National History and Archeology Museum, offering insight into Moldova’s rich past. In the afternoon, drive to Ialoveni to explore the private gallery of Petru Costin. This unique museum showcases artifacts from the socialist and communist era, including rare flags, statues, and the world’s largest shoe collection recognized by Guinness World Records.

Return to Chisinau for hotel check-in and enjoy dinner at a Chinese or Asian restaurant. Overnight in Chisinau.

Day 2: Monasteries, Old Orhei & Cricova Wine Cellars

After breakfast, meet your guide and head out to Curchi Monastery, an architectural gem with winter and summer churches surrounded by lush landscapes. Continue to the open-air archaeological complex of Old Orhei, where you’ll explore caves, grottoes, ancient churches, and remnants of past civilizations. Visit the atmospheric Orthodox cave monastery and a reconstructed 19th-century Moldovan house-museum. Enjoy a home-cooked lunch with local wine in a nearby guesthouse. In the afternoon, visit the famous Cricova Wine Cellars. Discover the vast underground tunnels, learn about traditional and sparkling winemaking techniques, and admire their unique wine collections, including historical bottles dating back to 1902.

Return to Chisinau for dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Overnight in Chisinau.

Day 3: Transnistria – Tighina Fortress – Castel Mimi Winery

After breakfast and hotel check-out, drive toward the self-declared Republic of Transnistria. Learn about this unrecognized territory with its own currency and government. In Tiraspol, walk through the city to discover Soviet- era monuments like the Lenin and Suvorov statues, the Parliament, and the House of Soviets.

Enjoy lunch at a nostalgic Soviet-style restaurant “Back to USSR.” Continue to Tighina Fortress, a 16th-century stronghold with an on-site museum that sheds light on the region’s defense history. Later, visit the impressive Castel Mimi, a restored wine estate dating back to the 19th century.

Tour the estate, taste local wines, and enjoy dinner in the winery’s elegant restaurant. In the evening, transfer to Chisinau Airport for your flight to Georgia. Arrive in Tbilisi. Meet your Georgian guide and transfer to the hotel in the city center. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 4: Tbilisi - Uplistsikhe – Gori – Mtskheta – Tbilisi

After breakfast, drive to Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn city with tunnels, cave dwellings, and early Christian churches that reveal Georgia’s deep past. Continue to Gori to visit the Stalin Mus eum and hear unique local perspectives about the Soviet leader born here. Enjoy lunch at a local family wine cellar, where your hosts will introduce you to traditional winemaking and local grape varieties. In the afternoon, visit Mtskheta, the spiritual heart of Georgia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Jvari Monastery, perched above the confluence of rivers with panoramic views. Hear ancient legends about this once ethnically diverse capital. Finish the day with a traditional dinner accompanied by local wine and Georgian Chacha. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 5: Tbilisi City Tour – Wine & Brandy Heritage

Start the day with a walking tour of Old Tbilisi. Discover Narikala Fortress and wander through winding streets filled with history and charm. Visit preserved heritage homes and experience the city’s cultural diversity. Visit the Tbilisi Wine Museum, showcasing Georgia’s 8,000 -year-old wine tradition. For lunch, head to “8000 Vintages,” a well-known wine bar that highlights the best of Georgia’s wine regions. In the afternoon, tour the historic Sarajishvili Brandy Factory, the first in the Russian Empire with the right to label its product as “cognac.” Conclude your day with dinner and wine tasting at a traditional restaurant in Tbilisi’s Old Town, accompanied by live Georgian folk music. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 6: Border - Dilijan - Sevanavank - Yerevan - City tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the border. Meet the Armenian guide and change the car at the border. Drive to Dilijan. Settled in Tavush Region, Dilijan is known as “Armenian Switzerland”. Excursion in the town. Then drive to Sevan, is the largest body of water in both Armenia and the Caucasus region. Visiting Sevanavank Monastery. Drive to Yerevan. Check in at the hotel. Meet the guide in the hotel lobby. Starting your evening with a guided Yerevan city tour. The first stop is Cascade Complex: A massive stairway and open-air museum with sculptures and panoramic views of the city and Mount Ararat. We will also visit Opera House & Northern Avenue: Elegant part of town with cafés and shopping centers. Visiting Republic Square and Vernissage Market for souvenirs.

Day 7: Yerevan – Khor Virap – Areni – Noravank – Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel. Starting the tour from Khor Virap Monastery, a stunning monastery with views of Mount Ararat. It’s an important religious site, where Saint Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned. The site is both peaceful and historically significant. After that, stop at local winery to taste the diversity of Armenian wines. Then, explore the Areni Cave, which is known as one of the oldest wine making sites in the world, Areni Cave dates back thousands of years. You can learn about the winemaking process and try different varieties, enjoying the unique flavors of the region.
Finally, enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Noravank, known for its red cliffs and beautiful landscapes. The trip ends back in Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Yerevan –ArArAt Brandy Museum - Echmiadzin -
Zvartnots-Armenia wine museum - Van Ardi - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. You will start the day with visiting the famous Ararat Brandy Factory to learn about Armenian brandy making traditions and of course tasting some varieties of brandy! Then drive to Echmiadzin Cathedral: The spiritual heart of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Built in 301 AD, it’s considered the world’s oldest cathedral and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Echmiadzin is often called the “Vatican of Armenia.” After the excursion you will visit Zvartnots Cathedral Ruins. A unique circular 7th-century cathedral, now in ruins, offering a glimpse into early medieval Armenian architecture. Continue with a visit to the Armenia Wine Museum, where you’ll discover the rich history of winemaking in Armenia, one of the world’s oldest wine-producing regions. Explore ancient artifacts, interactive exhibits, and enjoy a tasting of fine local wines. Next, head to the picturesque Van Ardi Winery located in Sasunik Village. After tour transfer to Zvartonts International Airport for departure.
