From Dilijan, bikers head to Goshavank Monastery and further, passing through Aghavnavank and finishing in Tsapatagh. Each turn of the pedal uncovers more of Armenia's natural beauty and ancient past.

Moving from Tsapatagh through Vardenis to Martuni, the route offers stunning views of Sevan Lake and crosses the Vardenyants pass. Bikers have the option to explore Shatin village before relaxing at the Hermon hotel.

The journey from Hermon through Gokhtanik and Herher to Sisian showcases breathtaking landscapes, including the Vayots Sar volcano and Herher water reservoir, adding unforgettable vistas to the adventure.

The final highlight is a visit to the Tatev Monastery complex, after which the journey circles back to Yerevan, leaving participants with memories of Armenia's landscapes, historical sites, and the excitement of biking through its varied terrain.

Itineraries

Day 1

Yerevan – Matenadaran – Tsisternakaberd (Genocide Museum) – Yerevan City Tour

Meeting at “Zvartnots” International airport, transfer to a centrally located hotel. The trip starts with a visit to Matenadaran which houses a unique collection of ancient manuscripts covering such lofty topics as philosophy, law, mathematics, medicine and geography. Afterwards, you will visit to the Genocide Monument and Museum. Yerevan City Tour. Lunch/Dinner. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 2

Yerevan – Byurakan – Amberd - Bjni

Breakfast at the hotel. Leaving for Amberd fortress (Fortress of clouds VII- XIIIcc.) located on the North-Western part from Byurakan, at 2,300 m above sea level, on a high triangle cliff which is formed by rivers Amberd and Arkashen. Biking to Aparan water reservoir. Continue biking to Kotayk region. Transfer to Bjni village. The route follows a partially paved road, with little traffic. Attractions along the route: Amberd fortress, Armenian alphabets, Aparan water reservoir, Khasakh Basilica. Dinner/overnight in Bjni in campsite or at the guesthouse.

Day 3

Bjni -Sevan- Dilijan

Breakfast. Biking from Bjni to Gegharkunik region. Tour participants will reach Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. The lake is at an altitude of 1900 m above sea level. Sevan is famous for its different kinds of fish, particular for ishkhan, which means “princely fish.” Sevanavank Monastery (9th c.), located on a peninsula will be the next destination for the group to reach. Transfer to Dilijan town, tour to old Dilijan. Overnight in Dilijan.

Day 4

Gosh-Aghavnavank-Jambarak-Tsapatagh

Breakfast. Long biking day: -Biking from Dilijan to Goshavank Monastery where the great scholar of the 13th century Mkhitar Gosh is buried monastery, optional – biking to Parz lich(14 km). From Gosh village continuing to village Aghavnavanq, where near the location of Dilijan national park Aghavnavanq (13 century)is situated and not far from here there is a yew park. Then we reach to Chambarak city and after passing the mountain gap to Sevan pond. Biking road ends in Shorja. From Shorja participants will be transferred to Tsapatagh hotel.

Day 5

Tsapatagh-Vardenis - Martuni-Hermon

Breakfast at the hotel. The road continues to Sevan lake, passes Vardenis city and we reach Martuni city (65km). From Martuni the road starts to go up to Vardenyants pass and after down. We may continue our way by bike and reach Shatin village, if the participants want. From Shatin we will transfer to Hermon hotel. Or the participants will be transferred from Martuni to the hotel by bus and will visit a medieval caravanserai on the way.

Day 6

Hermon – Gokhtanik – Herher - Sisian

The road goes along mountains of Vayoc Dzor and Vardenis. On the way you can see Vayots Sar volcano and Herher water reservoir. Transfer to Sisian. Overnight in Sisian city.
