Upon your arrival at Zvartnots International Airport, you'll be warmly greeted and transferred to a centrally located hotel for some rest. The next day begins with a delightful breakfast followed by an introductory tour of Yerevan, where you'll stroll through its main streets, admire the Opera House, and marvel at the Republic Square, noting the city’s unique pink stone architecture. A visit to the Matenadaran reveals Armenia's rich heritage through its vast collection of ancient manuscripts, spanning a myriad of subjects.

Delve into Armenia's winemaking history with a visit to the Erebouni museum and fortress, followed by tastings of Armenia's finest brandies and wines at the NOY factory and ARARAT Brandy company. The day ends with a tribute to history at the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex, dedicated to the victims of the 1915 Genocide, and a welcome dinner featuring a master class on traditional Dolma.

Day three invites you to explore the art of bread making with a trip to Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Garni, the only pagan temple in Armenia. Enjoy a lunch in nature's embrace and witness the traditional baking of lavash, an essential element of Armenian cuisine, baked in a tonir with dry grapevines. The adventure continues with a journey to Lake Sevan, known as the "Blue Pearl of Armenia," on day four. Visit the Sevanavank Monastery and enjoy a unique lunch featuring fresh, tasty, and organic fish from the lake. The trip concludes on day five with a transfer to the airport, marking the end of a memorable journey through Armenia’s rich history, culture, and culinary traditions.

Day 1

Meeting at "Zvartnots" International Airport

Transfer to a centrally located hotel. Rest time.

Day 2

Wine and Brandy tasting day

Breakfast at the hotel. Introductory tour in Yerevan. You will be presented our main streets, Opera House, Republic Square. Yerevan….the rose-colored capital of Armenia…. it is named as such because most of its buildings use a pink shade of “tuf” stone. This is the most prominent feature of Yerevan’s cityscape.
City tour cannot be conducted without a visit to Matenadaran – Armenia’s state repository of ancient manuscripts. It holds one of the world’s richest depositories of medieval manuscripts and books which span a broad range of subjects, including literature on history, philosophy, medicine, art history and cosmography in Armenian and other languages. As we get acquainted with Yerevan, we should start with the Erebouni museum and Fortress. Wine – making epoch in Armenia has begun since 782 B.C. This is the epoch when the fortress was founded. During excavations in Erebouni fortress- the Fortress of Blood, 18 clay vats for wine were discovered, each having more than 600 liter capacity. Continuing our trip, you will be given a chance not only see the vats and barrels of wine and brandy, but also to taste some kinds of Armenian brandies and oldest wine in “NOY” factory, ARARAT Brandy company. After, you will visit Tsitsernakaberd – memorial complex and museum dedicated to the victims of 1915 Genocide. It is one of the most impressive monuments in Yerevan.

WELCOME DINNER in one of the traditional restaurant in Yerevan. Master class to see how our traditional Dolma is prepared. Then you will taste it.
Return back to the hotel.

Day 3

Bread making day

Breakfast at the hotel. You will have a trip to Geghard Monastery, a unique architectural monument, founded in the fourth century, partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will continue our way to Garni, the only pagan temple in Armenia, where you can admire the unique mosaic baths and ruins of the royal palace. Lunch in a cosy atmosphere surrounded with nature. Here you will be the witness how our “traditional bread” lavash is baked in an oven/tonir. You will have a great time to feel the real taste of fresh-baked lavash.

Lavash making is loved and famous all over the country. Armenian cuisine without lavash simply does not exist. Until today this thin bread is baked using traditional Armenian way – in tonirs with dry grapevines – a traditional Armenian hearth.
Return back to Yerevan.

Day 4

Fish tasting day

After breakfast we will visit to the Lake Sevan – the Blue Pearl of Armenia. Lake Sevan is one of the high-altitude lakes in the world situated at the altitude of 1896 meters above the sea level. On clear and sunny days it looks like a piece of sky that has descended to the earth among the mountains. A visit to Sevanavank Monastery located on the Northwestern shore of Lake Sevan. According to an inscription in one of the churches, it was founded in 874 AD by Princess Mariam. The Monastery is also well known of its Seminary. As we are near the Lake Sevan, we will have a different kind of lunch. Delicious fish – fresh, tasty and organic.
Return back to Yerevan.

Departure day

Transfer to the airport.
