Daily Experiences
Starting our tour from Geological Museum of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. The museum has samples of minerals, rocks, fossils of animals and plants, maps. There are more than 13 thousand specimens in the collection, of which 50% are exhibited.
Next stop will be the Agarak ancient settlement. One of the main features of the monument is that the entire territory of the settlement and its surroundings are covered with huge complexes of cave and rock cut structures. Most of them are associated with the Early Bronze Age settlement of Agarak.
Visit to Aregi factory. Aregi creates a new quality standard in the production of dry fruits and vegetables, natural and healthy snacks and sweets and yet there is much more to come.
Climbing Mount Arteni, obsidian mine. Scientists have concluded that Arteni was the main site of the Paleolithic military industry. Even before the Middle Ages, obsidian was considered a semi-precious stone. Lunch.
Continue our trip to Dashtadem Fortress, formerly Nerkin Talin, an 11th-20th century fortress in the village of Dashtadem on its southern outskirts. It is located on a vast plateau extending on the southeastern side of Mount Arteni. Return to Yerevan.
