Starting exploring Gyumri, the second-largest city in Armenia, known for its rich history, culture, and architecture. Gyumri is a cultural hub, known for its contributions to Armenian literature, art, and music. The city has produced several prominent artists, writers, and musicians who have enriched Armenian culture. The cultural scene in Gyumri remains vibrant, with festivals, art exhibitions, and performances regularly held throughout the year. Visit to Dzitoghtsyan House-Museum of Social Life and National Architecture is a museum in Gyumri, Armenia. It was founded in 1984 in the Dzitoghtsyan family house, dating back to the 19th century. The museum exhibits elements of the daily urban life of Gyumri, as well as the local cultural and architectural characteristics of the city.
After a visit to the Black Fortress, once a formidable defensive stronghold. Today, its ancient walls and towers provide a glimpse into Gyumri's medieval past, offering visitors a chance to explore its storied history. Excursion to Harichavank Monastery, which is located near the village Harich, Shirak. The monastery consists of several buildings the oldest one of which dates back to the 7th century or even earlier (the exact dates of construction are unknown). This church is named after St. Gregory the Illuminator, who founded Christianity in Armenia. Return to Yerevan.
